About Domara

An orderly place for every family's paperwork

Founded in Johor Bahru to serve households who want their records accessible, up to date and properly maintained — without the confusion of starting from scratch alone.

Our Story

How Domara came to be

Domara grew from a simple observation: most households in Johor Bahru hold decades of important papers — identity documents, property records, insurance correspondence, vehicle licences — but very few have a reliable system for finding them when they matter most.

The name comes from dokumen and mara — moving forward through documentation. That is what we do: we sit down with families, work through what they have, and build a structure they can actually maintain.

We do not offer legal or financial advice, and we do not represent clients before any official body. Our work is strictly administrative and informational — sorting, labelling, calendaring and training. When a matter needs a solicitor or accountant, we say so clearly and leave that work to the appropriate professional.

Since opening, we have worked with families across Taman Molek, Taman Pelangi, Taman Sentosa and the wider Johor Bahru area. Sessions take place at our office or at the family's home, depending on what is more practical.

Our mission

To give every household in Malaysia a filing system that works — one the family built themselves, with support, and can keep going without us.

What we do not do

  • We do not provide legal, financial or medical advice
  • We do not represent clients before government offices or courts
  • We do not hold or store original documents on your behalf without written agreement
  • We do not make claims about outcomes, entitlements or rights

How We Work

Standards we hold ourselves to

Scope clarity

Every engagement begins with a written description of what is and is not included. Families know exactly what they are receiving before any session starts.

Data handling discipline

No household records are shared beyond the immediate team. Digitised files are delivered to the family and not retained after the programme concludes.

No advice overreach

When a question falls outside administrative organisation, we name that boundary explicitly and direct the family to the right kind of professional.

Fee transparency

Service fees and any third-party office costs are listed separately. Families see exactly where each ringgit goes before agreeing to any expenditure.

Knowledge transfer

Every programme ends with written materials the family keeps. The archive programme includes hands-on training so the system works without our continued involvement.

Local environment awareness

Storage recommendations account for Johor Bahru's humidity and temperature conditions — not generic overseas guidance that may not be appropriate here.

Our Values

Administrative support done honestly

Family documentation is not a glamorous subject. Folders go missing, papers get damp, renewal dates pass unnoticed and records from an earlier generation sit in bags that nobody has opened in years. None of this is negligence — it reflects how busy households actually work.

Domara's approach starts from that reality. We do not arrive with a prefabricated system and expect a household to reshape itself around it. We look at what a family already has, how they already store things and what their actual renewal obligations are — then we build from there.

Administrative document support in Malaysia covers a wide range of household needs: MyKad renewals, passport validity, driving licence updates, road tax cycles, property title copies, insurance correspondence and the personal records held for every family member. Keeping these in order requires a different kind of attention from general tidying — it requires a calendar, a filing logic and a habit of checking.

Domara provides all three: the physical or digital session that creates the filing system, the calendar service that tracks what needs doing and when, and the archive programme that takes decades of accumulated papers and makes them findable, preservable and transferable to the next generation.

Working hours align with Malaysian office culture: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm, and Saturday mornings by appointment. Home visits are available across Johor Bahru. Every programme is priced at a flat rate with no hidden additions.
